In providing our online DTM (desktop music) lessons and related services, we comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and other applicable laws and regulations, and we handle personal information in accordance with the policy set out below.

- Application for a free trial lesson — name, email address
- Application for a lesson course — name, email address, telephone number, region of residence (Japan or overseas), age (whether you are a minor), payment-related information
- Inquiries — name, email address, telephone number, the content of your inquiry
- Newsletter registration — email address
- Instructor applications — name, contact details, career history, produced works
(2) Information collected through your use of our services
- Lesson attendance history, booking status, payment status
- Lesson records and comments made by instructors
Lesson recordings and data obtained during lessons are handled as set out in the Terms of Use of our lesson booking system (Articles 19 and 19-2). Please note that the Terms of Use are available in Japanese only.

- IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, date and time of access, referrer information
- Identifiers generated by cookies and similar technologies
3. Purposes of Use
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes.
- Providing free trial lessons and lesson courses, and managing bookings
- Creating individually tailored curricula and providing learning support
- Billing and processing payment of lesson fees
- Responding to inquiries and consultations
- Sending information about our services and distributing our newsletter
- Developing new services and learning materials, and carrying out analysis to improve our services
- Recruiting and communicating with instructors
- Complying with laws and regulations, and exercising or defending our legal rights
- Other activities incidental to the above
Handling of data in our lesson services
Lesson recordings, production data shared during lessons, and the use of such data for AI training are governed by the Terms of Use of our lesson booking system, to which customers consent when they begin using the service.
4. How We Collect Personal Information
We collect personal information by lawful and fair means, through forms on our website, our lesson booking system, telephone, email, and communications during lessons.
5. Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve our services and to understand how our website is used.
(1) Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager
We use Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, to understand how our website is used. The information collected through cookies does not identify individuals.
If you wish to disable data collection by Google, you may use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provided by Google.

(2) Google reCAPTCHA
Our forms use reCAPTCHA, provided by Google LLC, to prevent fraudulent automated submissions. reCAPTCHA collects IP addresses and information about user interactions. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to its use.
(3) Embedded content
Our website contains videos and audio embedded from YouTube (Google LLC) and SoundCloud (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG). When you play such content, information about your browsing is transmitted to those companies.
(4) Disabling cookies
You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that if you do so, some features of our website may become unavailable.
6. Provision to Third Parties
We do not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining your prior consent, except in the following cases.
- Where required by laws or regulations
- Where necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain your consent
- Where specially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain your consent
- Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government body or similar entity in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining your consent is likely to impede the performance of those duties
7. Outsourcing of Data Handling
We may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to external providers to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. We contractually require such providers to handle personal information appropriately, and exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over them.

Note: Benchmark Internet Group, LLC is the only recipient to which we provide email addresses (as of September 2026).
Credit card information
We do not retain credit card information on our own servers. Payment is processed through the systems of GMO Payment Gateway, Inc.
8. Provision to Third Parties in Foreign Countries
We use an email distribution service provided by Benchmark Internet Group, LLC, located in the United States, to distribute our newsletter. The only information we provide to that company is the email address you enter in our registration form.
That email address is not used for any purpose other than distributing the newsletter. Our use of the service is equivalent to that of an ordinary email newsletter service; we do not provide the address to third parties without your consent, nor do we use it for advertising or other purposes.
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the procedure described in each newsletter email.
Our website also uses services provided by Google LLC, located in the United States (Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA), for website analytics and the prevention of fraudulent submissions.
Information regarding the personal information protection systems of the United States, and the measures taken by each of these companies to protect personal information, is available upon request from the contact point in Section 14.
9. Security Control Measures
We take the following measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and otherwise to manage personal information securely.
- Formulation of a basic policy
- We have established this Privacy Policy in order to ensure the proper handling of personal information.
- Organizational security control measures
- We have appointed a person responsible for the handling of personal information. We limit the employees who handle personal information and maintain a structure under which unauthorized persons cannot access personal information.
- Technical security control measures
- Access to information systems that handle personal information is controlled by IDs and passwords issued to individual personnel, and the scope of data each person may handle is limited. Communications on our website and lesson booking system are encrypted using SSL/TLS.
10. Requests for Disclosure and Other Rights
You may request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of content, suspension of use, erasure, and suspension of provision to third parties with respect to your own retained personal data held by us.
To make a request, please contact the contact point in Section 14. After confirming your identity, we will respond without delay in accordance with applicable laws. Disclosure will be provided by the method you request, including provision by electromagnetic record.
We do not charge any fee for requests for disclosure or other rights.
11. Retention Period
We retain the personal information we collect until you request that we delete it. This allows us to respond in light of your previous history should you take further lessons or contact us again.
If you request erasure, we will erase the information without delay, except where retention is required by laws or regulations. Please send such requests to the contact point in Section 14.
12. Personal Information of Minors
Where a minor applies for lessons, we require that they obtain the permission of a parent or guardian and check the consent box on the application form. We may also ask for the contact details of the parent or guardian where necessary.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy in response to amendments to laws and regulations or changes to our services. Any change takes effect when it is published on this page. We will announce material changes on our website.
